An original landscape piece by French artist Jules Agard (1871-1943).

Dated 17 July 1910, this stunning work carries over a century of history, at over 115 years old. Its timeworn edges add to the character.

Jules Agard was an early 20th century landscape painter, producing quiet, observational works showcasing Provencal life. Whilst not widely documented in major museum collections, Agard belongs to a generation of French painters whose practices were private in nature. We understand that he did not leave behind many surviving works.

We will never forget the excitement and joy we felt when we stumbled across this stunning work of art. A collector's piece.
