Brass Gilt Rounded Rectangular Mirror

A vintage mirror, with softly rounded corners and a timeworn patina. This shape is typical of mid-century French interiors.

The edges of the gilt frame carry imperfections that only decades can create resulting in a finish that has mellowed beautifully with age. Sourced in Carpentras, Provence, this piece was likely once part of a bedroom or dressing room interior. Its scale makes it versatile, able to be rested on a bedside, layered on top of a mantel, or hung in a hallway where it can catch the light.

This mirror has a secure, timber backing to which hanging provisions can be added. Measuring approximately 50 cm tall by 40 cm wide.
