Pair of Faiencerie de Castres Green Plates

A rare pair of vintage plates originating from Faiencerie de Castres, a small ceramic workshop in southern France known for its rustic countryside charm. Whilst originating from the same artisanal earthenware workshop, these plates do not match but instead were sourced to complement each other.

The ivory and soft green glaze brings a gentle, rustic addition to your table. As this set is complementary without matching, we also think they would look fantastic displayed as part of a gallery wall, for a collected, intentional look.

These plates were uncovered in a lovely lady’s collection of dinnerware at a small Sunday brocante in a hillside town in Provence.

Slightly imperfect in the best way, with soft pottery crazing and age marks, but overall, in good, usable condition with no chips. Slight signs of wear are part of the charm. Hand wash only.
