J. Damoy Paris Provision Jar

A stamped Parisian provision jar from the historic house of J. Damoy, once a celebrated épicerie in the heart of Paris. Originating from the early to mid twentieth century.

Finished in a soft, creamy glaze with subtle age and wear markings, this piece would have likely held preserves or specialty goods behind a marble counter. 

Its clean lines and luminous glaze make it endlessly versatile, beautiful styled with florals, kitchenware or layered into open shelving amongst linen and timber.

An understated piece of French history, collectible and romantic.

Measuring 14cm tall. Handwash only in warm water. If styling with florals, we recommend placing a glass or jar inside to hold the water, to avoid it seeping into the ceramic.
