'Come Cousin' Plate

A traditional French bistro plate, stamped "Come Cousin" at its centre.

Made by an unknown artist, likely produced for either a cafe or a friend, this style of ceramic was designed for everyday use. The simple typography and classic blue double banding give it that unmistakable Provencal character.

Subtle glaze speckling and gentle wear speak to its past life, adding warmth and authenticity. We think it will look perfect as part of a tablescape, styled on open shelving or wall hung. 

We love to wonder about the origins of this piece, the stamp hints at a playful previous life.
