Brass Gilt Oval Mirror

A vintage oval mirror, containing a romantic, intricate border detailing, with a decorative brass finish that has mellowed over time. Sourced in Carpentras, Provence. 

A shape long favoured in French dressing rooms and entryways. Its form and finish nod to Louis XVI revival interiors. 

Please note that the backing of this mirror has been repaired by a previous owner with tape and plywood. If wall hanging, further screws may be required in the backing. There are currently no wall hanging provisions or hooks, however these could be added.

Measuring approximately 46cm tall by 36cm wide. 

Please note this piece has markings consistent with its wear and age. This is part of its charm.
